In Florence, the cross has symbolized the religious path of the Florentine population over the past 15 centuries. The artists that Renaissance Florence has bred and encouraged, have left wonderful artwork, which already individually emit indescribable sensations.

Florence today inaugurates the International Biennale della Cultura. With the Mysterium Crucis wooden crucifixes of Filippo Brunelleschi and Donatello, along with carved by the young Michelangelo Buonarroti Holy Spirit, has been exposed in the Baptistery of San Giovanni, in a exposition, as to study the sacred sense of exposure of these great works.
The three crosses were sculpted by their authors, even though there were no certainties yet the powers, life-size and considering the Christ represented in the mosaic of the Baptistery of San Giovanni emerges here is that the deep bond that the four works of art have to the city of Florence and for the whole world.

Simultaneous exposure of these masterpieces can not go unnoticed. The importance exciting and thrilling at the same time for those who today attended the religious ceremony officiated by Cardinal Betori, made it even more important to the event.
