Serravezza: a summers with Mino Maccari

A Mino Maccari, painter, engraver and illustrator large, is dedicated to the summer exhibition organized by the Foundation and the City of Medicean Seravezza inauugurata in early July in the Medici Palace titled “The comedy in the art. Maccari. Indediti and rare. 1920 – 1978, “which traces the conspicuous artistic production of Mino Maccari (Siena 1898 – Rome 1989) who was an acute observer of the customs of Italian society.

Exhibited more than one hundred and twenty works, including paintings drawings, watercolors, prints, mixed media made by twenty years until the end of the seventies.
From the works of the period of militancy in the fascist party, when he worked at the “Wild One”, the Florentine magazine of which he was acclaimed illustrator and director, the paintings of contemporary life with the subjects that are often witty, portraits, all the works in the exhibition have the characteristic to be little known and rarely exhibited.
