San Godenzo: con Dante nel medioevoSan Godenzo: with Dante in the Middle Ages

di Simone Focardi –  Il luglio della montagna fiorentina si apre con lo spettacolare evento “Dante Ghibellino”. Sabato 6 e domenica 7 luglio si rievocherà infatti il passaggio del “Sommo Poeta” da San Godenzo.

Un fine settimana durante il quale il paese dell’Alta Valdisieve ritorna indietro di 800 anni, al medioevo, più precisamente al 1302 quando, proprio a San Godenzo, all’interno dell’Abbazia” si riunirono a convegno i guelfi bianchi cacciati da Firenze che meditavano vendetta e volevano tornare in città. Fra loro anche Dante Alighieri che viveva in esilio in Casentino.Il poeta poi in alcune sue opere parlerà proprio del territorio di San Godenzo: dalle cascate dell’Acqua Cheta alla “Gorga nera”, che avrebbe addirittura ispirato l’”Inferno”.

Apertura dell’evento sabato 6 luglio alle 18,15 all’interno dell’Abbazia Benedettina, alle 18,30 partirà la Lectura Dantis. Subito dopo, a partire dalle 19,30 in piazza Don Bosco ci sarà la tradizionale Cena Medievale (gradita prenotazione al numero 055.8373826) con le stesse pietanze che si consumavano nel medioevo. La cena sarà anche allietata da letture della Divina Commedia e da spettacoli di intrattenimento, naturalmente con attori in costume.

La sera, a partire dalle 21,30 prenderà il via il Corteo Storico che vedrà la partecipazione oltre al Gruppo Storico, di casa, “Dante Ghibellino” anche i gruppi “Sant’Onofrio” di Dicomano, “Bandierai e Musici di Castel San Barnaba” di Scarperia, “Margliana” di Pistoia e “Giullari dell’Allegra Brigata” ed i Cortei Storici “Castel Sant’Angelo” di Pontassieve e “Del vino e del Contado di Rufina” .
Il secondo e ultimo giorno di manifestazione inizierà la mattina presto con alle 8,45 una escursione verso la Cascata dell’Acquacheta, tanto amata da Dante. Nel pomeriggio, poi, in piazza Vittorio Veneto a partire dalle 15,30 animazione e giochi medievali per bambini a cura di Mediot e un’esposizione di rapaci. Alle 18 riprenderà la Lectura Dantis e si potrà assistere all’esibizione del gruppo dei tamburini di San Godenzo. Alle 19, chi vorrà, potrà cenare all’Osteria Bruciata, dopo di che ci saranno una serie di spettacoli, tra i quali, segnaliamo quello dei “Bandierai degli Uffizi del Corteo Storico della Repubblica Fiorentina” e “Falconeria Sovrana” con il falconiere Andrea Frizzi.

Nonostante i mille problemi nel reperire fondi – afferma il Sindaco Alessandro Manni – anche quest’anno siamo riusciti a realizzare questo importante evento insieme alla proloco. Grazie all’impegno di tutti riusciremo a far rivivere ai turisti le atmosfere medievali, allietate da musici, giullari, letture dantesche e buon cibo. Spero che in tanti approfittano per fare un tuffo nella storia e visitare il nostro splendido territorio”.

The dinner will also be entertained by readings from the Divine Comedy and entertainment, of course, with costumed actors.

In the evening, from 21.30 kick off the historical parade which will be attended in addition to the Historical Group of the house, “Dante Ghibellino” the groups “Onofrio” of Dicomano, “Bandierai and Musici di Castel San Barnaba “of Scarborough,” Margliana “of Pistoia and” Jesters of the cheerful “and the Historical Parades” Castel Sant’Angelo “of Pontefract and” Del wine and County of Rufina. ”
The second and last day of the event will start at 8.45 in the morning with a hike to the waterfall dell’Acquacheta, so beloved by Dante. At 18 resume Lectura Dantis and you can attend the performance of the group of drummers from San Godenzo.
